BostonTalks is throwing it back to the epic time of the 1960s! Sip brews, network and hear short talks on crime bosses, rock ’n’ roll music and women’s activism during the 1960s. It’s all at BostonTalks Happy Hour!

Hear from and connect with:

- David Bieber, who is known as Boston’s premier music archivist, first worked in radio for WBUR and WBCN before being selected to curate a collection of rock ‘n’ roll memorabilia at The Verb Hotel in Fenway, which is a dynamic reimagining of a classic mid-century motel. David will talk about underground radio, the Beatles, music festivals, music formats and so much more!

- Kevin Cullen is an author and Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist for The Boston Globe. He worked on the Spotlight Team, the Globe’s investigative unit. He is co-author of The New York Times bestseller, Whitey Bulger: America’s Most Wanted Gangster and the Manhunt That Brought Him to Justice. Kevin will talk about Whitey Bulger and other crime bosses.

- Stephanie Yuhl is an award-winning professor of history at the College of the Holy Cross. She has done extensive research on 20th century US culture, with an emphasis on social movements and gender/sexualities. Stephanie will discuss Jane Fonda, the origin of bra burning and more!

Join WGBH and host Edgar B. Herwick III for a happy hour infused with short talks by local experts. Each event combines short speaking programs in a reception setting with an opportunity for you to join the conversation.

You must be at least 21 with a valid ID to attend. Beer, wine and cider is available for $5 a glass.

This is a networking style event, but some seating will be available.
