Summer Exhibits: Frank Stella, Irving Penn, Memory Unearthed, Juan Roberto Diago, Matisse in the Studio
A summer celebration of the year’s best exhibits! First up, Frank Stella gets a homecoming retrospective at the Addison Gallery of American Art. Then, an exhibition featuring the iconic photography of Irving Penn. Later, uncover a trove of buried photographs from Nazi-occupied Poland in “Memory Unearthed: The Lodz Ghetto Photographs of Henryk Ross.” Plus, an examination of the work of Afro-Cuban artist Juan Roberto Diago Durruthy. Last but not least, an exploration of the roles that objects from Henri Matisse’s personal collection played in his art at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
