Matthew Guerrieri's The First Four Notes

Critic, composer, and blogger Matthew Guerrieri talks with WCRB's Brian McCreath about his book The First Four Notes:  Beethoven's Fifth and the Human Imagination.

He begins by responding to this quote from Count Ferdinand Waldstein, one of Beethoven's supporters in Vienna:  Beethoven came to Vienna to "receive the spirit of Mozart from the hands of Haydn."
