Supporting the next generation of children's programs
WGBH is the nation's leading innovator and producer of children's programs on PBS. The WGBH Children's Educational Media Fund provides our producers with the capital necessary to maintain this position while exploring new ideas and taking the risks inherent in the creative process of program development, including producing pilots, testing impact, and developing educational outreach initiatives both in the community and in the classroom.
"As varied as our projects are — from preschool to high school, from live action to animation, from old media to new technologies — they are all unified by a single strategy. Every project tackles important social and educational problems, is curriculum based, has creative content and formats, explores new media possibilities, and strives for overall excellence. And, of course, we never forget the essential ingredient: fun."
-Brigid Sullivan, WGBH Vice President for Children's, Educational, and Interactive Programming
