SUPPORTING INVESTIGATIVE REPORTING

The FRONTLINE Journalism Fund was established by a group of philanthropists committed to magnifying the reach and impact of enterprise reporting in our country. A gift to the FRONTLINE Journalism Fund supports the exceptional level of investigative journalism that has been the hallmark of FRONTLINE for over 27 years. As PBS’s flagship public affairs series, FRONTLINE’s experienced and award-winning producers never shy away from tough, controversial issues. FRONTLINE is committed to providing journalists with the time and resources required to delve deeply into complex subjects and develop the stories that enliven and enrich public dialogue, spark national conversations, and spur change and reform.

Directed gifts make the FRONTLINE Journalism Fund possible.

Raney Aronson

“The kind of in-depth investigative journalism we practice at FRONTLINE is thoughtful, rigorous, and time-intensive. It requires us to constantly seek untold stories, and to give our producers and reporters the time and resources to dig into them deeply. As with all enterprise reporting efforts, each investigative idea may lead in unexpected directions — and some may not pan out at all. But without early support, some of our most impactful investigations would never have come to be. That's why the FRONTLINE Journalism Fund is so vital to FRONTLINE's future. It allows us to support our producers and reporters in pursuing new ideas, sustains our commitment to developing those ideas into original, clear-eyed journalism, and enables us to keep telling important stories with the sort of depth and complexity that has always set our reporting apart."

-Raney Aronson, FRONTLINE Executive Producer
